Colombia removes the requirement for a negative PCR test to enter the country

In a move to reactivate the economy, Colombia’s Health Minister announced that, starting from June 8, visitors will not need to present a negative PCR test at the border in order to enter the country.

According to Fernando Ruiz Gómez, Colombia’s Health Minister, this move comes in a series of initiatives in order to boost the country’s economical situation. The mobile app CoronApp will also no longer be required for domestic travel:

As the air traffic increases, the lines at the airports become a mechanism of agglomeration of people, which decreases the benefit of using CoronApp. At the same time, we will eliminate the requirement for a PCR test to enter the country

The Colombian Government also announced that cities with a ICU occupancy below 85% will be able to have public and sporting events limited to 25% capacity.
