After sliding down the emergency slide, the man, identified as 31-year-old Antonio Murdock, and his partner, 23-year-old Brianna Greco, casually walked away from the plane.

They were later found with their dog in a restricted area of the airport and subsequently arrested. The dog was taken to an animal shelter.

Murdock and Greco are now facing charges including criminal mischief , reckless endangerment and trespassing, among others.

As he left a Queens criminal court Tuesday, Murdock told reporters, “I just want to see my fiancee,” CNN affiliate WCBS reported.

“I panicked. I have panic attacks. That’s it. I didn’t hurt anybody,” Murdock said. “I have mental health issues.”

According to the Queens District Attorney’s Office, Murdock is due back in court February 9, and Greco is scheduled to appear on March 21.
