The Global Hotel Alliance (short: GHA) is an alliance formed by independent hotel brands that started a loyalty program named Discovery. GHA consists of brands like, for example, Kempinski, Omni, Pan Pacific or Thon. Currently, you can take advantage of an easy option to get Platinum status with the GHA for only €33. That way, you will benefit from perks such as upgrades to the next room category, complimentary internet access, or late check- out during your next stay.
In contrast to other frequent traveler programs that are out there, you won’t earn any points for nights as a member of Discovery. But for every stay at one of the participating hotel brands you will be rewarded with ‘Local Experiences’ such as cooking classes, massages, access to the hotel lounge, a scuba diving session, and many more.

Your status will be valid for one year. If you manage to stay at participating hotels for at least 10 nights until the end of the year, your status will be extended. 30 stays, and you can even reach Black status. In other words, the highest of the Discovery tiers.
