Man attacks National Guard at Puerto Rico airport after being told to wear a face mask

A man reportedly attacked a National Guard soldier at Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport after being asked to put on a face mask.

Adrien William was asked to put on the face covering soon after arriving on the island in the baggage reclaim hall.

After his refusal he was then asked to fill out a mandatory travel declaration forms which he also allegedly declined.

According to reports, William then began wildly hitting the Guardsman and airport officials dressed in hazmat suits.

In a video posted online, William can be seen swinging punches before being taken down to the ground and arrested.

“A man who arrived in Puerto Rico on a flight from the US, yesterday, attacked a P.R. National Guard soldier who twice told him to put on a mask at the baggage claim in San Juan, according to @PRNationalGuard,” CBS journalist David Begnaud wrote on Twitter.

The police report stated, “A man identified as Adrien William did not follow instructions regarding the use of a mask or provide personal data, and following this attacked the complainant in the face.”
