‘This is Nazi Germany!!’ – Hasidic Jewish family of 22 kicked off Frontier plane for ‘refusing face masks’

Frontier Airlines accused of anti-Semitism.

A Frontier flight was cancelled in Miami after a number of passengers refused to wear face masks onboard, according to the airline.

Flight 2878 was preparing for departure when a large Hasidic Jewish family reportedly refused to comply with the face coverings rule.

“While flight 2878 from Miami to New York-La Guardia was preparing to leave the gate, a large group of passengers repeatedly refused to comply with the US government’s federal mask mandate,” a Frontier spokesperson told The Independent.

“Multiple people, including several adults, were asked repeatedly to wear their masks and refused to do so. Based on the continued refusal to comply with the federal mask mandate, refusal to disembark the aircraft and aggression towards the flight crew, local law enforcement was engaged. The flight was ultimately cancelled.”

However, the family has hit back, claiming only an 18-month-old baby was maskless.

“We were all on the plane when the [flight attendants] came on and saw the 18-month-old baby without a mask,” Hershey Greenbaum, a family member onboard the aircraft, told the New York Post.

“All the people on the plane were getting really mad and rowdy because, what are you going to do? It’s an 18-month-old baby.”

In a video posted online, one passenger can be heard shouting: “This is an anti-Semitic act,” while another shouts: “This is Nazi Germany.”

“You’re going to pay the consequences. I’m having it all on tape, this is going to go all over the news,” a third man says.

Witnesses say flight attendants ‘cheered’ and ‘high-fived each other’ after the family were escorted off the plane.

The Orthodox Jewish Public Affairs Council posted several videos of the incident on Twitter, with its executive director, Yossi Gestetner, publicly disputing Frontier’s account of the incident.

“Frontier wants the public to believe that six parents with half a dozen young children in tow decided on an evening flight home to ditch their masks and cause a delay,” he said in a statement to Insider.

“The parents supposedly decided to drop their masks once seated after having walked into the airport and onto the airplane with masks and being seen on video with masks leaving the airplane. Such an accusation defies logic, and is disputed on the record by multiple people.”

The Anti-Defamation League has demanded ‘full and transparent’ investigation by Frontier Airlines.

Disturbing incident the last hour on a @FlyFrontier flight as staff told a Hasidic couple to get off because their 18 month old had no mask. Applause is heard as the couple started leaving.
