It might not feel like it with the Indian Summer we’re enjoying right now, but like it or not, winter is just around the corner. A winter sun escape is always a good idea, and thankfully, Barbados in the Caribbean is on England’s list of countries we can travel to without quarantining

on return. As luck would have it, we’re seeing return flights from £395 with British Airways and £396 Virgin Atlantic, which is a steal.

As an extra treat, as of 14 December, the route will be operated by Virgin’s Airbus A350 — the newest and most modern aircraft in its fleet.

To book, head to Google Flights and enter London as your departure airport followed by Barbados (BGI) as your destination. Then, all you need to do is use the built-in price comparison to find the best fares and dates for you. To complete the booking, follow the link to the British Airways or Virgin Atlantic website.

Unfortunately, BA and Virgin’s lowest economy fares don’t include hold luggage. If you need 23 kgs of checked luggage, then it’ll be an extra £80 for both airlines. However, if you’re clever with your packing, that shouldn’t be too much of a problem.
