Australia to reopen borders to vaccinated tourists on February 21!
Australia will reopen its borders to fully vaccinated tourists from February 21, Prime Minister Scott Morrison has announced.

Australia, which has been closed to most travelers since early 2020, has been slowly easing its restrictions since November through travel programs with New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea and Japan.

The Prime Minister announced the borders will reopen to all visa holders “on the 21st of February of this year,” adding, “if you’re double vaccinated, we look forward to welcoming you back to Australia.”
Home Affairs Minister Karen Andrews said visa holders who are not fully vaccinated will still require an exemption and be subject to the relevant state and territory quarantine requirements.
The tourism sector has been pushing for certainty around the international border reopening, after being decimated by the impact of the ongoing border closure.
