Ryanair launches 3 new routes to Finnish Lapland!

Ryanair just announced the launch of 3 new routes from Belgium, Uk and Ireland to Rovaniemi, Finland for the next winter season!

Rovaniemi is the capital of Finnish Lapland amidst the Arctic wilderness. It is situated about 10 kilometres (6 miles) south of the Arctic Circle.

Northern Lights in Lapland

Experience the magical Aurora borealis! Race around dark wintery forests and across frozen lakes and hunt for the Northern Lights. The best way to witness this natural phenomenon is to stay overnight in one of the igloo hotels in Lapland

. For example, you can choose Muotka Igloos in Sinetta or 4* Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort – Igloos And Chalets. Surrounded by nature, these unique resorts offer a possibility to watch the Northern Lights directly from the bedroom. Each heated cottage features a glass-dome ceiling and some igloos even include a bathroom with private sauna.

You can also spend a night in an ice hotel – a temporary hotel constructed from snow and sculpted blocks of ice. For example, in the 3* Arctic Snow Hotel the Aurora Borealis alarm service will alert you to appearances of the Northern Lights. The temperature in the snow hotel is between 0 and -5 degrees Celsius, regardless of the outdoor temperature. The rooms feature sculpted ice furniture and snow carvings. You can have a drink in the ice bar, try out the ice sauna and the outdoor hot tub in the snow.

These Ryanair new routes between Rovaniemi to Brussels Charleroi, London Stansted and Dublin are scheduled to start on late October / early November and will be operated twice a week from / to CRL and DUB and four times a week from / to STN.
